› (05-P-07) Project of education and soci-professional insertion of young girls no longer going to school and poor girls in the sub-prefecture of Allada

› Problem Definition:

The NGO GRAD-FB has taken a preliminary survey before the working out of the present project. This survey has led to the following established facts:
- Failure and abandon of school by young girls
- Many illiterate young girls
- Weak level of household income
- Great need of youthful workforce by parents (agriculture, trade, etc..)
- Socio-cultural heaviness and inferiority complex of the woman
- Infatuation and Motivation of young girls for small commercial activities
- Precocious wedding and responsabilization of young girls and young boys
- Distance and lack of school’s infrastructures in some small towns
- Low teachers/student ratio or lack of teachers
- Etc.

To bring a remedy to these identified problems in this area, that can lead to the reduction of poverty, the NGO GRAD-FB initiates the present project which aims to the insertion of young girls no longer going to school and poor girls in a new area of the socio-professional life that is : weaving.

› Project Description:

The current project aims the integral professional insertion of young girls not in school especially, in a certain measure, women in the beneficiary localities. It also aim to create conditions of a real participation of populations by giving them subsequent skills likely to assure themselves to handle their development and consequently the development of their locality of existence, is a peculiar and fundamental ambition of this project.

› Overall Objective:

- Proceed to the integral socio-professional insertion of youth, especially young girls who
are no longer to school, young girls from poor families, orphans and abandoned children.
- Reduce poverty.
- Create sustainable employment.
- Proceed to the sustainable development

› Implementing Strategy:

1- Exchange of experience and export of our two cultures in the fields of arts, tourism and
agricultural knowledge, weaving, irrigation method, method of treatment and purification of
drinking water.
2- Exchanges in the field on sensitization of the population about the management of public
goods and the level of men and women conscience placed in the front of the public for the
management of those resources.
3- Trade in terms of awareness on the management of public affairs and the degree of
awareness of men and women placed in front of public view for the management of affairs.
4- The Costa Ricans and Benineses experiences in decentralization.
5- The status of women and girls in Benin and Costa Rica.
6- And all experiences that we think can improve the backward condition of women all over
the world.
