› National Mushroom Centre representatives visited the Centre for Science and Food Technology (CITA), University of Costa Rica

Within the framework of the PSC project Promotion and Commercialization of Mushroom in Bhutan and Costa Rica, the director of the National Mushroom Centre (NMC) of Bhutan and the technical staff from the Centre for Science and Food Technology (CITA) visited the beneficiary communities in Costa Rica, to give technical support on the production of mushrooms.

The activities realized during the visit of the NMC to Costa Rica were:

- Consulting fielded on documentation on the existing Mushroom Producers Association.
- Visit to mushrooms producers groups at Cerro de la Muerte Communities.
- Field work with producers to link cultivation to post harvest activities.
- Development of postharvest, processing and packaging technology
- Collection cultivated mushrooms in community projects of the
- Collection of Costa Rican wild shitake, also known as Wild Shiitake Tico
