› Organic farming: low cost agriculture approach

Two workshops were held in organic low cost agriculture in the South and Atlantic region in Costa Rica with the participation of more than 150 persons (producers, researchers and extension agents). The importance of this training was to introduce innovative technologies, environmentaly friendly and sustainable based on local resources. Those technologies have been validated in India, Bhutan, Nepal and Bangladesh and now are being validating and adjust to Costa Rica conditions. The instructor of the trainings was Dr. A. Thimmaiah, specialist in low cost organic farming, who has been working in this agricultural approach in Bhutan.
